What is Caller IQ?

Caller IQ is a new service which is available on some telephones and fax machines. This new service decreases the time required to setup your phone or fax, can save you money on long distance calling, and will keep you up-to-date on local and regional weather and lottery results and can provide you up to the minute stock quotes.

openLCR enhances the ability of telephones and fax machines. The technology enables telephones and fax machines to not only send and receive telephone calls and documents, but to download information to the memory of the device. Information is downloaded to the machine in the form of features that provide different capabilities. Manufacturers license the openLCR software and embed it in their telephones or fax machines.

openLCR has partnered with major telephone and fax machine manufacturers, including Panasonic, to produce products the openLCR technology. Machines with the openLCR technology are also referred to as Caller IQ, Viewer IQ, and Info IQ-Ready. The openLCR service is only available on telephones and fax machines with the openLCR logo.

openLCR makes the setup of these features easy. You can create your account on the openLCR website then download your settings directly to your telephone or fax machine. The openLCR website can be accessed from any location with Internet access. It is not necessary to have Internet access in your home to use Caller IQ features.

1.  Information Download (including Weather Forecasts, Stock Quotes and Lottery Results)

Downloads information such as local weather forecasts, personal stock quotes and state lottery results to your telephone or fax machine. This customized information is viewed on the LCD screen of your telephone or fax machine or can be printed out for you by your fax machine.

2. Telephone Directory Setup

Never again worry about losing the telephone numbers most important to you. openLCR enables you to setup and edit your telephone directory entries on the openLCR web site, then download your frequently called numbers directly to your telephone or fax machine.

3. Fax System Setup

You will never have to spend countless hours setting up your fax machine again. openLCR enables you to setup your fax system settings on our web site, then download your entries directly to your fax machine. A partial list of the fax system settings setup by openLCR include the Fax Telephone Number, Fax Station Name, Ring Pattern, Answering Machine Settings, and many more.

4.  Multi-handset Telephone Setup

openLCR removes the tiresome task of setting up a multi-handset telephone. If you have a multi-handset telephone with Viewer IQ, Info IQ or Caller IQ logo, you can setup your handsets from any location with Internet access. Once you setup your individual handset options on the openLCR web site, the customized settings will then be downloaded to each individual handset.

5. Low Cost Routing

openLCR provides you the opportunity to save money on long distance calls and faxes. The technology compares the rates of your current long-distance carrier with the rates of openLCR’s partner carriers, then routes your call through the low cost carrier. Your in-state, state-to-state and international calls will be routed through the low cost carrier.

6. Automatic Setting of Date and Time

With daylight savings time right around the corner, now you do not have to worry about locating your owner’s manual to correct the date or time on your telephone or fax machine. openLCR only requires you to press two keys on your telephone or fax machine to correct the date and time.

7. Fax Transmission Test

Are you excited about the purchase of your new fax machine and want to test it out, but you do not have anyone you can send a test fax to? openLCR will automatically test the sending and receiving capability of the fax machine for you.
