Improving Your Cordless Phone Range
A cordless handset can be carried anywhere around most homes or
yards. For most people this is sufficient. There are several factors
that influence the range of your cordless phone.
1)
Walls or other physical barriers, especially concrete, brick and
steel-frames will reduce your cordless phone’s range and signal level
that is transmitted between walls.
2) Power lines and other local
radio devices will limit the range as well as increase potential
interference to your cordless phone.
3.) Variations in terrain and
weather also play a role in affecting your cordless handset signal.
To get the best range out of your phone, position your phone base
at the center of the house or apartment and preferably on the second
floor to maximize your range.
